My car has factory 3 color ambient lighting. I am trying to figure out where to connect the end cables for both front and rear vents. Can anybody provide guidance? Thanks!

I bought a bag of 3 wire jst connectors. Male and female.

This allows you to quickly disconnect your mods, if needed later.

All lights are tapped from under the center console ambient wires and routed to front and back.

You should wrap any extension wires with tessa tape to not add rattles in your console.

I have the same question. With a 3 colors factory setup, where do these aftermarket AC vents get power and control for changing ambient color?

3 color wiring. Tap into existing wires.



Pink/white color happens automatically when blue and yellow are 12+ volt at the same time.

Just wanted to share a picture or two of my W205 3 to 64 colour upgrade.
I haven't seen any pictures with a dual colour setup. Is it just not popular with the crowd? Or am I the first to configure them like this?

In the new cla and c you can do this so if the 205 would be able to i would use it for sure!
I Guess oem it will not be possible though since all parts connected to the same source

If I was going to keep my C63S I'd be doing the ambient air vents. The tweeters in the corner might be a bit much for my taste but the vents are pretty sweet! Appreciate all the photos and info in this thread.

Time to replace my DIY passenger side ambient trim with a real one.(they are cheap now @ $46)

My friend installed this recently on his ride.... seems the new cover lights are brighter compared to the rest of the retrofitted ambient lights.

This can be fixed by adding a small inline step down converter to reduce voltage. Try 9 volts?
