Airmatic suspension... loud thud over bumps
Can anyone with airmatic chime in...
when you hit a bump is it normal for it to cause a loud thud that sounds like it’s bottoming out the suspension?
i find that when I hit a small bump in the road it creates a loud impact noise and bumps the cabin a bit

I don't have airmatic on my '15 c400, but am now noticing a thud when going over certain types of bumps.
For example, a concrete patch that was overfilled with asphalt and subsequently compressed in the middle of the patch, but not where it meets the concrete, can result in the thud sound when I go over the raised asphalt edges of the patch.
If this is a similar noise to yours, I wonder if there is a subframe or suspension bolt or something similar that has too much slack. I'm planning on taking it in under cpo to see what they tell me.
