Cool Upgraded...finally.

Well, the time has finally came and I've upgraded from my 2005 C230 Kompressor to a 2016 C450 AMG. I've had my C230 for over 11 years and, while she's still my baby and riding well, it was time for a change. Here's some pictures to share my excitement...

Not even two hours later I had her in the shop to get some vinyl wrapping. I've been through the C450 forum and appreciate all the tips, tricks, and mods everyone has shared. Let me know if there's anything you all suggest for mods, tunes, etc... Thank you for viewing my new adventure!

Get a JB4 plug in tuner, I absolutely love mine on my 2015 C400...easy install, reliable and user friendly. The gains are very noticeable.

After researching through the website I believe I will go JB4. Did you upgrade anything else (intake, exhaust, etc...)?

Thanks everyone! She's been a joy to cruise around in.

So, I replaced the stock air filters with K&N, upgraded my summer tires to Pilot Sport 4S with 19x9 in the front and 19x10 in the rear ZITO wheels. I recently installed the JB4 pedal tuner which is the best $179 I’ve spent. I have BC Coilovers on order and hope to try installing myself when they arrive in about a week to lower a bit.

Oh yea, and I put new plugs in it a couple days ago, I was a little nervous doing this myself as there are strict torque specs that need to be followed for the plugs in this engine, but it went flawless and it idles smooth as butter now! And it gave me an excuse to buy a 3/8” digital torque wrench for my toolbox too!

I LOVE my pilot sport 4S tires, much MUCH better than stock. Good choice.

I thought about going K&N and then I saw MST's new setup... It's clean, just waiting for all the kinks and errors to get fixed before pulling the trigger on those. I had to replace my tires (~21,000 miles) and went with Bridgestone Driveguards for the warranty. Very smooth, tight ride and drives well in the rain. Not the sportiest set of wheels however they do the job and I'm covered up to 50k miles.

Planning to get the stock wheels powder coated this week and a couple more accents (rocker panel vinyled). Also, I purchased some eBay mud flaps because the dirt and rocks kick up and, being the OCD person I am, I trust this will help refrain from that happening.

Nice ride! You got the critical options like the ILS headlights and Burmester audio. Very clean ride. Ditching the run flats is one of the best mods for this vehicle. Based on your location, you should consider swapping to Michelin Pilot 4s tires. They are the cat's *** for Summer tires and that's all you need in Tejas. A resonator delete will give you a little more grumble from the exhaust if you want it.

Vinyl on the front lip a' la night package looks good. Did you do the rear diffuser too?

Went a different route with the diffuser rather going all black. Love how the "fins" are accented.

Also pictured are a set of eBay mud flaps, tire shine sling is a b!tch on white. Replaced spray foam with gel and foam applicator.
