C220D overpriced, UK £14k?
Fast forward to today and the dealer has since reduced their price to £14k. Is buying direct from Mercedes with a year warranty really worth £500 over the sale price? Obviously should anything fail on a 60,000mile car it would be but the chances of that are slim of course.
The car is a 2014 W205 on 60k. I do around 16k a year . Is there anything likely to fail within 76,000 miles?
What services should be completed by now and what is due by 76k?
Have a good day all.
Ive had it less then a year and so far one of the valve caps have been corroded. A new tyre pressure sensor needed to be replaced to rectify.
My panoramic sun roof got stuck and I’ve been quoted £2000 by two separate garages to get this fixed. Mercedes charging £204 an hour labour I didn’t even bother asking for a quote. The cars engine acceleration is superb and a lot less c250’s on the road than c220. My biggest regret was saving £1000 by not going to a dealer to get the one year warranty.
From someone whos who’s been in your position. If the car is older than 3 years old then Expect problems. I would definitely get a warranty and give the car a good check over. I’m going back to Audi when I trade the car in early next year.
