Hi All,
I recently bought a 2015 C180 and have been warned that they moved from a double timing chain to a single one and they are breaking and destroying the engines. Has anyone had the same problem? Is this not related to previous models w204/3?
Thanks

Just picked my car up today after having the timing chain in my W205 C300 stretch. From what I've read, it is certainly a possibility of happening and mine kicked in around 70k miles, which also seems to be consistent with what I'm seeing online.
I don't think I read anyone having a breaking chain problem, just stretch.

hello, is it easy to get it checked ?
Should we do it or just wait to have problems ?
