Mercedes c300
Need some noise!

I want to give my mercedes c300 some noise but don’t know any ways. I’ve been thinking about maybe a muffler delete or new mufflers but would like to see some good clips on the sound before i do it. Someone please help and leave suggestions on affordable ways to give my car sound!

Just go out on Saturday night to your local "strip" and listen to some of modded Mazda and Honda 4-bangers and decide if it's worth the $$ to make your C300 sound like a giant horsefly.

Just wait. The EU now has a problem with their beloved ELECTRIC cars -- they are too quiet! Have to be louder! (Maybe they will have to use jingle bell sounds -- horse-drawn sleighs had them for the same reason, you know.) Assuming that the EU electric car sounds will imitate old-fashioned internal combustion engines, you can grab one of those noisemakers. Just like when we were kids, when we would fasten playing cards to the forks of our bicycles. Vroom! Vroom! (There's already at least one BMW or MB model that pipes in loud exhaust sounds through the audio system. Only the driver can hear them! The boy racer thinks he's hot stuff, and the neighbors have their piece and quiet.)

Talking It's over

The Eu works the other way too. AMG cars too loud! Same solution -- Vroom! Vroom! noises that only the boy racer drivers can hear.
From MBWorld, General Discussions, Next Generation AMG Sports Cars to Have Quieter Exhausts:

"Following new regulations from Europe, AMG plans to continue building sports cars, but with less noise. enthusiasts will get to hear the symphony from the inside through the automaker's sound system.

"New Regulations
Europe is turning away [from] noisy exhausts. This is according to new regulations that require automakers to do away with loud and growly exhaust notes. Not even Mercedes-AMG can avoid adhering to the new rules because they affect all markets, including those outside Europe.

"Too Expensive
Europe has been tightening the bolts and switching things up for automotive manufacturers every two years. Following the introduction of the current regulations, Mercedes-AMG has warned that sports cars will soon be significantly quieter. According to their head of product planning for compact cars, Bastian Bogenschutz, it's going to be increasingly expensive to build unique exhaust systems for each market. This may cause automakers to do away with auditory delivery altogether. [emphasis added]

"First Treatment
The first two vehicles from Mercedes to receive the silent treatment include the 2020 A 45 and the 2020 CLA 45. Interestingly, the two are powered by what Mercedes refers to as the most powerful 4-cylinder engine. The dull exhaust pipes will have to feature in both despite the two cars packing plenty of firepower.

"Bringing the Noise inside
AMG plans to counter the new regulations by bringing the noise inside. The company will take the real exhaust sound and channel it into the cabin through its pure performance sound system. In-cabin audio systems that mimic engine and exhaust noises have been there for a while. They aren't what many would consider ideal, but are definitely better than having nothing.

"More Solutions
Sound is an important part of the driving experience and it's only fair that automakers find solutions to the new regulations. Very little can be compared to the vivid sound of burbles, wails, and loud pops emanating from a symphonic exhaust system. As times change, the robust aftermarket will have to prepare itself to provide more solutions to rectify these ever-constricting regulations." [photos and formatting removed]

Europe is also starting to phase out the internal combustion engine. Good luck to the aftermarket adding "burbles, wails, and loud pops" to their electric vehicles. It's over. Grow up!
