Was this 2015 C300 effected by the wrist pin issue?

I'm making my first Mercedes purchase. I'm looking into the wrist pin issue and I wanted to see if there was any way to tell if this car was effected?

Any help would be great I'm supposed to look at it today.

See this article for further details; looks like the engines were corrected after around 43,000, with production dates around March/April 2015, depending on your specific engine. I had the repair done under warranty its been buttery smooth ever since.

It looks to be in the clear, with engine in the 47,000 range. Start it cold and you would hear it at low speeds when you take your foot off the gas- leave from a stop, remove foot, listen. It would be easy to hear, but it is outside the affected range. Happy shopping!

My engine went at 48K, a few months ago. Still trying to get it resolved. My 5 year warranty expired but didn't hit the 50k mark. I'd advice getting an extended warranty to be on the safe side.

WOW bro im sorry to hear , Did you have the dealer replace everything for you ?

Reason I am asking , I am also in NY and kinda having the same issue.

I brought to my local dealer today 9/22/21 , Driving there no issues once I pulled in the lot I felt the car misfiring.

I ask about the piston - wrist pin issue I've been seeing all over the forms, He said he doesn't hear any slap not sure what means.

He said the Coil is working, The fuel injector he said works but then that cylinder shuts it down.
I told him I would like to wait for an answer, He walked up to me with the OH **** face told me its serious and is going to order me a uber home LOL GREAT.
He didn't have a loaner to give me. He told me car is too hot to check anything else and will update me tomorrow. 9/23/21
