That would be a big yes, the inner supports in the bumper are needed also they are different than the non sport! I actually did the conversion on my 2015 and was bummed to find out I needed the inner braces also as the were different and did not fit. Also the skid plate underneath doesn't actually fit! you can make it work like I did but it is not correct and is rigged to go on but it will work just not cleanly or correct. Just something to consider if you doing the conversion.

Did you figure out a solution or have you installed the new set of bumpers? This is my next change on my car and want to make sure I have all the correct parts since both bumpers are very similar.
