Left and right brake lights went out together, causing the headlights to stay on...
Headlights would stay on after the ignition was turned off. Being 9pm nothing was open so I disconnected the negative battery cable. The next morning I reconnected the battery cable and it wont start now. The headlights still stay on, and all of the dash lights including the radio still work. Also the red blind spot warnings on both mirrors are on. Also the trunk will not open, with the keyfob or the handle. Car is equipped with keyless go

Test the battery or have someone test it for you. It sounds like the battery could be toast.

Changed the brake light switch and it fixed the weird gremlins,
But still no crank no start. The smart key fully functions and I'm getting all of the engine control noises when I turn the key.
