I know that is not an easy diy for the headlights, but what about for the tail lights?
Aftermarket taillights is the best solution in my opinion. From what I've seen, people upgraded with depo's taillights including myself. Compared to oem, they are a bit brighter. I have no say in the durability, but they've been great with no error codes for 7 months now. Cost for the pair is great and easy to install compared to the headlights.
I did that mod and it was actually pretty easy. eBay offers quite a few of those taillights. I paid about $250 for my pair made by DEPO (see below) I also have a video of the before and after lights in real time if you’re interested. Overall easy mod that looks great and relatively inexpensive. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Sorry. Having technical difficulties uploading video- I have have one side by side photo of tail light - see below The before is on the right - upgrade on the left
My fault with this upgrade is that even the base tail light is LED. In the US there is an amber bulb that's incandescent, but it is disconnected from the factory. That only leaves the backup lamp, which I replaced on mine with a CANBUS-friendly LED bulb.
Plus I actually prefer the single light pipe at night on the base tail lights.
