Go check out FakeAMGBusta, they point out all the fake AMGs, it’s pretty good.

No one should be vandalizing cars by putting AMG badges on non-AMG cars, you’re right.

there's a E350 AMG, CLS550 AMG with dual exhaust in my workplace parking lot. i wonder what else is fake, maybe just a C300 and CLS400.
this is just embarrassing.

i also don't like it but who do they fool? many people don't know or care and the people that do know when its fake and when not...
also i've seen dealers putting the AMG badge on the trunk when the car has the amg (sport) pack, yes in europe its called amg package.
the AMG name is good for sales just like BMW puts M badges everwhere on non M cars

I just saw a C200 badged as a C43 a few posts down from here....

They’re missing about 180HP/140TQ and a litre displacement but I guess the C43 badge and command pedal adds that. :p

All people I know who drive an AMG, they drive the model more for understatement purposes not to brag. I have a friend who makes 900k per year and he drives a fully loaded AMG c63, with NO Badge. He just enjoys the car and doesn't give a damn what people think. If someone doesn't know much about car, he/she would think this is an ordinary family car. I think most of the people who put the fake badge they just do it because of the looks, it just looks cool on the car. If someone wants to put a badge on, let them do so, it is nobody's business. People who vandalize other people's cars are not the real AMG drivers. The real AMG drivers couldn't care less about what other people have on their car. BTW, as someone already stated here, in Europe they have AMG badge on ordinary C180s, when they order it with the right package. Same with Audi, many 4 banger Audis have the S badge because they have the S line design.

David300 I couldn't agree more. You stated it perfectly. I wouldn't do it but I have NO problem with others doing whatever they want with THEIR car. It's funny (not) how you see pictures of these internet tough guys holding the badges they scraped off of someone else's car. Notice how all the pictures are of just their hands, no faces, and at night. Hey internet tough guy...How about you do it when the owner of the car can see you. Who's the POSER now. Just sayin.

If you get a 5-6 year old AMG, it's a bargain. I've already seen many people - young and old - get a used AMG for pennies on the dollar then act like they bought it new. I think to each to their own and you make your car however you like.

My previous vehicle was a 2015 GLA250 FWD, which I had for almost 3 years. If you get used to that nasty little car for 3 years, switching to a C300 is like having an AMG.

I agree but not for 15 $ 😅 I bought AMG and C43 badges both for 90 $. I actually bought them from my local dealer here in Lebanon who actually knew that my car is a C200, they even installed them for me 😂😂.

My problem is that anyone who would be impressed by an AMG badge knows what is and is not a real AMG. The fake badge is just a douchebag warning about the owner of the car. Only a douchebag would put one on a non AMG!

I agreed David here in the Middle East same story. We frankly do it because its looks cool on the car hoping it will attract some chiks 😂 I played with the car a lot even the steering wheel as you can see. Spoiler, diffuser, exhaust tips ect...

I'm all for changing the aesthetics of your car to match that of a higher end model, but actually putting on a different badge is straight up weird.

I think you did it perfectly. A lot of people not only put the AMG badge on the wrong side but their badge doesn't match their stock exhaust pipes and other body parts. It's none of my business but they should also change at least a rear diffuser and tail pipes to match the badge they put on.

Thanks 👍. You said it quite rightly. Yesterday I saw a C180 all stock with not even one single change on it. He kept the car as it is and put a huge BRABUS badge on the back 😂. I know that its it common around here but as you stated a minimum matching job should be done to show some common sense. You know customs here are so high on all cars especially big engines so noone really afford to buy a genuine C63 because its a 4L V8. Its custom duty is 90% of its value as new from its country of origin at the model year. So seeing a real C63 here is like a dream hence we try playing with our cars to realize a small bit of our dream cars.
