Wheel Lock Key Issues
I purchased a 2017 loan car C300 from Park Place Grapevine in Texas back in the summer of 2017. Prior to me purchasing the vehicle Park Place replaced the rear tires at 7k. (The tires do not last more than 10k, ever)
I've had the tires changed probably 3 times since purchasing it-and this most recent time the shop I go to did not put my key back in the glove box. So, I took the box that the key and lug nuts come in to MB Plano and they matched the code like you are supposed to. Mind you, this box has Mercedes logo on it and part # and is all in German.
I get home, and the key does not fit at all. So here I am on a Saturday, with no way to get my car back on the road until Monday at the earliest. I have come to the realization that I am going to have to have my car towed to MB in order to get the right key Monday.
My question is, HOW is my code on my wheel lock's box not the same lock that is on my wheels? It baffles me. I honestly feel like Park Place Mercedes has screwed me, I think they may have changed the locks at the time of purchase and didn't update the code slip. Yes, I lost the key. But, I also paid $70 and drove 4 hours for a new one for it to not be the correct one. Has this happened to anyone?

They usually check the pattern prior to ordering a replacement. Looks like they ordered the wrong one.
