W205 Ambient Lighting Install
Before I ask my question, yes I’ve read all the other threads about ambient lighting and how to install them and all the sellers that are out there. That being said, I wasn’t fully able to understand how the install for someone that has the Command System works.
so my question: I’m looking to add the OEM looking ambient lighting in my car. The center counsel, and 4 door panel lighting. I know there are few sellers here on MBworld. But like I said, I have the command system and all I’ve really read was that I need to get Mercedes to activate the option for it or something like that?
For someone that’s successfully installed the ambient lighting in their car WITH THE COMMAND SYSTEM, can you please share what steps you took, with Mercedes, to get the options added onto the screen! I’d love to make this mod come alive. I also know that mercedes uses the Xentry tool for diagnostics so is there any option in there that allows and added it to my car screen via OBD connector?

From what I’ve seen here and other forums, many dealerships will refuse to enable the feature for you. I haven’t gotten around to calling the dealerships around me. but the coding aspect of the install is the only thing holding me back from this mod. Please update us if you find out !
