I recently bought an illuminated LED star from Amazon and I need some help with installation. Is it easier to tap into the power cable or the fuse box?

My plan is to tap into the OEM power cable instead of tapping into the fuse box since the idea of messing around there is daunting. However I cannot seem to find a wiring harness diagram anywhere for my car. Does anyone know which cable I should tap into if I pursue this route? I only want the star to come on at night when my headlight is turned on. My car is a 2015 C300.

I went thru the fuse box and my star stays on whenever the car is turned on. I couldnt find another slot in the fuse box that only turns on when headlights are turned on.

Did you plug your red wire into the S8 cable and run a 5Amp fuse to slot 123b? I read that somewhere but just wanted to verify.
