Hi, I was trying to power my dash cam using the fuse box in dashboard. I tried to plug it in fuse #219 but it doesn't power my cam. Has anyone done is using dashboard fuse box and where the plugged it in ? Is there anything I am doing wrong ?
That's a good setup. Make sure both fuses are installed on the fuse tap and that you have a good ground on the black wire. I used one of the two large bolts in that vicinity that hold the dashboard in place for the ground.

Did you have any issues with the on-off feature where the car shuts off when you are at a stop? I've got a few other questions if you don't mind taking a look?
I also have my cam hook up on the same rail but on 216 which is glovebox light.
Big if but I seen few people that can't manage to get any power from this rail and I suspect 2019+ C Class might change the layout.
What year is your car? Could you grab a multimeter and see if you get any from those fuses. Make sure to put the car on ACC.
Mine is a 2016 C300. I'll have to try this weekend with a multimeter to check for the two fuses that is a constant on and one that turns on when the car is on (I hope I described that correctly). I saw a video of a C43 install, but the guy tapped into the back of the fuse panel that's on the driver's side. He didn't tap the two wires up front with fuse taps. I think I was able to see where he grounded though, so I should be good to go with that wire.

I used 216 for ACC and 211 for constant BATT that was empty. For ground, there was preexisting screw tapped to the body, I use that. Double check with multimeter and device the fuse it connects before doing anything. Like make sure fuse for glove box lights up and if fuse removed, don't lights up.
