C300 2015 General Questions
Hello All,
I am expecting to ship to Lebanon a Mercedes C300 4matic 2015.
I do have some questions regarding this car:
1- In Lebanon, we have 2 kinds of fuel, 95 Octane and 98 Octane, are both these ratings okay with this car engine?
2- How do I know i from the VIN that the car have the Ambient Lighting feature? Is it standard?
When I used VIN Decoders, I found out that it has:
876 Interior Light Assembly
Does that indicate that it has Ambient Lighting?
3- Can you install Lebanon (or any country other than US) maps on the Navigation system? The car has the 8.4 Comand system.

1- yes, although 95 and 98 octane ratings there are not the same as here. I would use 98 when you can, the cost difference is negligable
2- it is not standard, you can run the VIN through an online VIN decoder and look for the package option
I don't think that is the LED lighting code, I think that is for the underfoot, seat, and other ambient yellow lighting

Hi Ali, I live in Lebanon. I maintain my car at our local dealer Gargour. They recommended 98 octane as the car is turbo charged. As for ambient light see if you can see code 877 Ambiance Illumination listed for your vin. I have decoded my vin and circled 877 for you. Regarding the map it can be purchased and installed at Gargour but I hardly found anyone installing it maybe because it is a small country.

What about service? Each how much km/miles I should service the car? And how much does it cost usually at Gargour?

We dont use miles here. Gargour mentions 15,000 km or 1 year whichever comes first. I hardly make 10,000 km per year. I only use it on weekends as i have another car for daily use. Gargour basicaly alternates between service A and B. For example in 2019 i did A. So in 2020 they did B for me. In 2021 i will do A ect... Service A average price is 220 $ whereas B is 500$ I highly recommend you use Gargour, they are very professional and customer oriented.
