I have noticed an odd clunk coming from the front of our car and it has been getting progressively worse over the last few weeks. It sounds like tire rod end/steering rack/ball joint clunk. Has anyone else had this issue? I have 30,000 KMs on it (20,000 miles)

Apparently it was a large piece of ice in the splashguard, I don’t believe it though, because I just had the oil changed a week before so they would’ve removed the splashguard. I have a feeling they left a wrench or something in the engine compartment and didn’t want to admit it...
