What does the A7 service include
Hi guys,
I was curious if anyone knows what an A7 service includes and what I am expecting cost wise.
Is there anything out of the ordinary that should be changed such as transmission fluid etc?
Thanks

A and B services alternate, with the first A service at 10k and the first B service at 20k miles.
The M-B maintenance booklet does a good job of explaining what gets done on an A and what gets done on a B service.
Unless the owner gets all work done like clockwork at the scheduled mileages, the actual mileages that these reminders pop up will vary greatly since they are based on how long it's been since the last reminder was reset.

Thank you diamondsilver16. Have you got your tires changed yet? Mine will be 30K miles soon. I'm thinking about switching brand from Continental to Bridgestone Driveguard ( Costco). What do you think? I guess, I stay with RF tires.

I would ditch the run flats based on everything I've heard about them. I bought my car with 28k on it and the dealer had just fit new tires.
They were these cheapo tires: http://www.gosailun.com/PLT/Tire/SH406
But I'll tell you, they've been awesome over the last 12k miles! I've had all the major brands over the years; and these Sailun tires are very quiet, great handling on dry and wet pavement, and they have not worn any more than typical at this point.
I also bought one of those air compressor/fix-a-flat gunk combo kits as my 'spare tire'.

Found this.

Sailun Tires was established in 2002, and before that, they were making tire building equipment so naturally, they thought, “Hey, why don’t we also make and market our OWN tires.” In 2014, the merged with Jinyu Tires, another Chinese tire producer which also owns Jin Yu, Black Lion, and Rovelo Tires.
its a lube oil filter, that's all. The number doesn't mean anything, its just an A service. The dealership can add the number to track when the last was done so like A7, A8, etc. But its arbitrary.

Hi My recently acquired 2011 C220 shows that it needs an A7 service which I believe is an interim service. My local garage that I've used for years is advising a cost of £250 for this (say that oil alone will be around £70). Just wanted to sanity-check this before booking in as I didn't expect it to be this site. It's 7-speed sports auto with about 70k on the clock. Thanks
An A7 is meant to be a regular A service + auto transmission filter, pan and fluid change
