I have a 2016 base model C300 with gloss black interior and aluminum trim. The aluminum panels are showing corrosion on the edges. Does anyone have this problem?
So strange. I dont dont have this problem. Looks like they were skretched? All doors like this? Are these Oem or aftermarket? Did you try buying aftermarket from Ebay.
Agree to all. Dealer needs to look and give opinion/remedy. I really wanted to be sure that this was not a well known defect in c300 black interiors. Thanx.

That type of cosmetic issue - even if it is MB's fault and I have not seen that happen before - would only be covered under New Car Warranty - or covered by Dealer Goodwill - it is NOT a CPO item/covered
This is a side issue but....I do have a new car warranty in effect until July 2021. When I bought his car as a used 2016 it had 2020 as the end date on the new car warranty. As a CPO used car they extended the new car warranty until 2021.
Please understands CPO Warranty is a separate added warranty - CPO does NOT extend New Car Warranty - the New Car Warranty Expires at 50K/miles or at 4yrs from date of original owner purchase - whichever comes 1st - and the CPO warranty starts seamlessly when the New Car Warranty expires.
Under New Car Warranty many different interior items can be covered - under CPO Warranty NO interior items are covered.
If you have New Car Warranty - time to try to get that covered before New Car Warranty expires.
Looks like elbow grease marks. How is it on passenger door?
It doesn't look like incidental corrosion to me. Looks like something was done to it. Again, I've never seen anything like it in all my years. Probably better off replacing, not worth the effort of chasing this thing.
Both front doors and a milder case on both rear doors. Must have been something corrosive. Maybe former owner used something bad to clean the aluminum? Or all windows left open in seacoast environment? Car came from Charleston SC and lived there 2016-19.
Thanks all. My plan is to just show it to the dealer and get their opinion. I can live with it I suspect if they give me no options. I’ll post something when I find out their take.
