I got mine from Amazon as well, same exact ones and they're only 50. I installed them the other night. The drivers side took about 30 min and the passenger took about an hour and a half. I wanted to really minimize cutting etc. I figured out a way to relatively easily install them on the passenger side. Here's the method
First get in car and direct the passenger mirror all the way down and towards the car, I'll explain later. Remove mirror cap. Make sure mirror is in the open position at this point. Pull the mirror control plug that blocks the camera removal. Remove bolts on camera and try to remove. Push down on external mirror housing from the top, there should be a lot of play now that the mirror is pointing in the correct position. This will allow you to remove the camera. Undo the front clip on the projector and pull it out, again pushing on the mirror housing. If you don't do this it is almost impossible to get out. Now is the part you have to trim. I actually got the new light in without trimming but the mirror housing was pushed down and it would significantly slow down folding and unfolding. So get a strong set of needle nose pliers, insert them through the puddle light opening and trim this part. In this picture you'll see the puddle light and the plastic part it hits. Just grab small pieces with the pliers and twist and pull, they'll pull off easily. It took about 5 min this way.

Did the resistor dim the light at all? Or did it make it brighter? I installed resistor and it dimmed it down pretty good

Did you use a 15ohm 2% tolerance, 2 watt resistor?

THe resistor should reduce the brigtness a little bit, but it shouldn't be dim. ( Please see pictures in previous posts)

15ohm was only needed because i also had aftermarket led turn signals on the the same circuit.

Also, did you test to see if you had the blinking issue before adding the resistor? It's only needed if you have this issue.

I probably dont have the same lights as you do since I got them on ebay, but I used a 10ohm. And yes they had a slow blink to them. Was that what yours did by chance? I ordered some 15ohm 2 tolerance 2 watt resistors to make sure its not my resistor, but I also tried the other one out that hasnt been touched and it even seems dim compared to when I first hooked them up. It was wet outside, so maybe that was it.

Retrofit?

Has anyone tried to put these on a c3300 w205 that doesn't have 360 cameras? Would that be possible? Has anyone tried to retrofit a 360 camera setup?

W205 C300 2.0L Turbo 4Matic - Premium Plus, AMG Sport
Nice addition but a ton of work!!!

This mod is real sharp but beware....it is a lot of work. I purchased mine from DMP Car Design for $120 USD and it came from Malaysia in under a week to Canada. Kit came with a resistor which I had to splice into the blue wire and solder to eliminate flicker....this was the easy part. All the videos I watched were install WITHOUT the 360 camera which mine has. In all....it took me about 3 hours to solder, remove side view covers, remove cameras, remove existing puddle light, fit new light and repeat those steps in reverse. The end result is dope....I got the AMG stripe style with Mercedes Benz lettering as the W205 is not AMG. The hardest part was removing and reinstalling the camera.....the space is so incredible tight and you have to use an Allen key which was a total pain in the rear....alot of anxiety too as I was concerned some of the quick disconnects might not have reconnected properly...make sure to disconnect battery before touching any of the electrical and connect it again before putting the covers back on....to make sure it's working properly.

ALSO, an important note. On the passengers side, I had to literally break the old clips to remove the existing puddle light and the replacement is a bit taller which made fitting in into place a massive headache. Finally I managed to force it in and heard a loud click....fits super tight but if it fails I dont think it will ever come out again.

IMO - the mod is worth it but prepare for some hard work if your W205 has 360 camera.

Did you use resistors? If so that may cause issues if you have the 360 camera. Also what brand did you get?

Got it. Is your car under warranty. If it is I'd bring it in. Sounds like something is wrong with it. Depending on the age of the car it's possible the LED light is going bad. LEDs are supposed to last very long but they do go bad on occasion.

See what I found. The latest version of the lamp does not require any resistors and is thinner and easier to install.

Nice catch.,

Worth it, I'll buy when my current ones go bad, it's been a year almost, everything is good so far.
I liked that you don't need a resistor.
Thanks

I have just received mine along with dynamic white turn signal from DMP Car Design. I thought that the resistor in the set is 10ohm but it's showing 68ohm, or it must be 6,8ohm? I'm not so good with the electric stuff

I just tested a 10 ohm 2% resistor and the flickering went away.

EDIT: When I added my aftermarket turn signals to the same + 12 volt circuit the flicker came back.

I had to use a single 15ohm 2% tolerance, 2 watt resistor to fix each side, instead of the 10ohm. (NTE Electronics 2W015)

Anyway. Everything is installed without the need of the resistor. No flickering!

Has anyone tried the new version yet? The eBay listing says it's not suitable for a 2020 C43 Sedan.. only coupe. It does show it being compatible for a 2019 C43 sedan which was when the update was. Thinking it should still fit, no?
