I hate when everything is just thrown together at the bottom of the console storage and you have to dig through everything to find some of the things you use a lot. This mod is super easy and costs about fifteen dollars if you have a Dremel or cutting tool.

Step 1
Buy one of these (which is awesome but you can't see what's stored underneath it, so...)
Step 2
Cut out the bottom of the main compartment with a Dremel cutting disc (weird lighting, my interior is saddle brown):

Place finished product in center console

After, with split-level storage:
At night with console light:
$15 and about 30 minutes to cut the hole cleanly.

that notch looking part in the middles is a cord passthrough, i have the same tray. It's not bad, but it gets kinda creaky.
I brought the same center council holder for my C300, that is a very good idea what you have done.
I might just have to copy your mods.
