Autel MK908 Pro Purchased
So I finally went ahead and picked up the unit after get my tax refund. I can tell you it is a nice unit. Sleek. But little slow during diagnosis. But thats fine. Other options was the Elite which is the same features but newer faster hardware only.
Not sure if anyone else has a Autel but having one issue which I will check with support also but thought to see if anyone has specific mercedes experience. I connected the unit, software all updated to Mercedes V18.10 (April 2020). First it does not read the Vin. It fails. But when I type it in manually it is able to decode it.
Second, when I try to do Programming it says reading Vin for 2 min, then goes to initializing gateway data and after 5 minutes, it fails. The device is connected and working cause I was able to do a basic scan (got some errors which strange but only occured once and months ago).
any ideas?
And in case anyone is wondering, its not purchased from Alibaba or from a store in China. It was bought was a authorized reseller in the US and it is registered correctly with Autels site.
