New to the forum (and not 100% sure I'm posting in the right subforum). I just got my new C220d Estate last week, and am very happy with it
However, whenever I play something with CarPlay, the sound is very "screamish", especially compared to the regular sound of the Radio. And changing the sound settings doesn't seem to make any difference.
I used to drive a CLA180 and E220, and my wife's car A180, all of them have Carplay, however, they didn't have this sound difference.
Any tips/tricks would be very helpful, so I can enjoy the new car even more
Sidenote: how do I find out if my car is W204/W205/W206?
Try changing out cables - I have seen "some cables" that don't do a good job.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out!
In the meantime, I did try the "disable carplay, and let it play as an iPod"-trick, and that improves the sound. However switching back to carplay, the bad sound comes back.
