Can Dealership Undo a Tune?
I am expecting delivery of a used W205 and it apparently has an ECU tune on it. I want the car to last a long time and am not interested in the extra performance of a tune. Can a dealership reprogram an ECU back to stock with no problems? I'm a little worried that doing so could brick the ECU or cause other problems with drivability.
If the ECU does need to be reprogrammed, how much does this normally run at the dealership? It's not going to be possible for me to remove the ECU and ship it somewhere.
