Help with parking brake
2019 C300 wagon. How the parking brake used to work:
- it would disengage as soon as I put the car in drive
- it would engage only when I turned off the engine or when I opened the driver door with the transmission in P.
How it works after a visit to the dealer for some unrelated diagnostics:
- it does not disengage when I put it in drive. It only disengages when I depress the acceleration or I disengage it manually. SUPER ANNOYING!
- it engages immediately when I put the car into P
According to the dealer and the service report no software update has been performed and no parts have been replaced on the car. Only diagnostics have been run.
I was wondering if there was a way to "go back" to the previous setup?
I have noticed that some loaners also work "the annoying" way. My car was built in Germany and the dealer is in North America, not sure if that makes a difference.
Any help is much appreciated.
