C300 4Matic Lowering options
I have a 2015 C300 4Matic base model. I am getting wheels in a week and want to lower my car beforehand so I know how the car will sit and determine my wheel specs. All I can find is the H&R springs for the 4Matic, which are backordered everywhere, and all the other options like Eibach, say its for RWD models. Any one on here lower their 4Matic and have some input?

Searching the forum will indicate the RWD springs will work for AWD models as well. Depending on the condition of your shocks you maybe better-off buying the coilovers. The general consensus is that lowering springs will hasten to wear out your old shocks (if they have a lot of mileage on them). If have to buy new shocks later then it might be better to buy perhaps coilovers for your 4matic and kill two birds with one stone. The cost /time to install would be about the same and BC coilovers are reasonably priced vs buying new shocks. Totally your call. Shows us your before and after pics when you get done. Good Luck.

Hey SlyOne, I'm going down a similar path as you. I have a 2015 C300 4Matic (Luxury Suspension) and also wanted to lower before getting new/larger wheels & tires. I share a4ncar's opinion, unless you have a very restrictive budget, I believe it's worth the extra money to go all-in from the start and lower on coilovers. I've lowered a previous vehicle on Eibach springs and I had an overall good experience with them except for the ride was a little bit choppy for me and the lack of ride height adjustment... you get what you get for height. If the ride height is not perfect for your setup, sucks to be you
Coilovers provide you with both ride height and dampening adjustments and it truly transforms the handling IMO. If you like making turns, coilovers will put a smile on your face every time.
I installed my new coilovers about 2 months ago and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I'm running the stock 17" wheels and tires (17x7 ET+48.5 - 225/50/17 Pilot Sport A/S 3+), currently lowered 2-5/8" front and 2-1/2" rear. No issues at all, no rubs. Once I get the new wheels and tires I can tweak it to be just right, whatever that ends up being.
You may already know this, but if you're looking for a soft, cushy S-Class-style ride, don't do any of this, lol

thanks for the input guys. I ended up getting some H&R springs. I’m not concerned with the ride quality , I have owned Hondas with cheap coil overs that were maxed out low.
the main objective for me, was to get rid of these oem 17s that are chrome plated for some reason. I could have gone a couple different routes, but ultimately just wanted to change the look of the car.
I don’t see myself owning the car for long enough to justify coil overs, so springs are ok. I installed them myself, and while there coilovers would have been much better the spring drop has left me satisfied enough.
I’ll try and get some pictures when I can of the new setup. I’m hoping the new wheels fit, as I went with an aggressive 19x8.5 +32 offset

I am seriously interested in how it goes with your wheels and I'm looking forward to hearing about it, so please don't fall off the face of the earth, lol
My current plan is to go 19x8.5 +40 (square) and I'm thinking I may end up needing a 10-15mm spacer in the rear to get it closer to flush as the fronts, which would put the rears at an effective +30/+25 so I'm thinking you should be really good visually at +32. But of course the big question is are they going to rub anywhere.
What tire specs are you planning on running? I'm really wanting to make 245/35/19 work and hoping it doesn't turn into a basket of snakes, being lowered.

I can absolutely recommend Silver's and I'm extremely satisfied. Excellent quality and everything lined up perfectly and bolted right up. The primary difference between RWD and 4Matic coilovers is the front lower coilover mounts that require an offset to clear the front drive shafts. This component is cast and beefy and clears everything nicely (can be seen in pic below).
They do have a "Super Low" option, but in my case it's not needed. On the standard kit, I can drop the front to be sitting on the tires (lower than I need) and out back I'm at 2-1/2" drop now and it looks like I can go another 3/4" lower or so going by how many threads I have left.

@Sly, did you end up getting the H&R Sports Springs or Super Sport Springs? I'm on the same boat as you were I'd be comfortable with the look and feel of springs than going the coilover route.

I think they’re back ordered everywhere I checked and got lucky on offerup locally.

Looking at the second pic, the rear offset looks perfect! Hard to tell by the angle on the front, but it looks good also. So, after having this setup for a bit, are you happy with the fitment?
