For those that purchased the Continetial Extreme Contact DWS06 tires for there w205 what specs did you choose for your front and rear? Every website says the normal 225/45/18 fronts seem to have to low of a load rating. While the rear 245/40/18 are fine.

I just had this very same issue with tire rack. The fronts are not XL rated. Had to cancel my order.

I don't think you missed out on much. I just took the DWS-6's off my E400. . . at just 18,000 miles. From about 12,000 miles, those things were noisier than studded snow tires on a pickup truck. Also, by 18,000 miles, the front tires were worn almost to the wear indicator bars.

I am trying Michelin Pilot AS4's this time.

I think you've made a good choice. I was happy with my PS AS3's and I'm even happier with my current PS AS4's.

Another nice little bonus of the Pilot Sport version 4 is they have a super smooth sidewall. Makes for a great pallette for ArmourAll/tire shine... if you're into that kinda thing.

After testing many products, I only use MEGUIAR's hot shine tire spray. Lasts long, looks good, dries fast, applies evenly.

It survives many washes.
