SRS Inoperative See Operators Manual
I’m getting an error saying the passenger airbag has an error. I looked up the SRS error and there’s a lot of posts saying this is related to a dying battery, or a seatbelt chip malfunction. I checked my battery from the COMAND head unit and it appears fully charged.
Does anyone have any information on this? Possible cost of repair out of warranty? Will the passenger airbag not go off if in an accident?
I do plan on taking the car in next week for a diagnostic and repair, but I also had a labor day trip planned for this weekend.

Update. I started and stopped the engine a couple of times after this error appeared, and it did not go away. I let the car rest for 30 minutes and started it up again. Error is now gone. I’ll still be taking it to the dealer next week, but hopefully no error during my road trip tomorrow.
