C300 piston issue

C300 piston issue
I have a question. Can a spark plug failure cause a piston to break and if a piston brakes can that cause spark plug failure
the reason I ask this is because I have one dealership telling me that my piston broke because of a spark plug failure and then I have another dealership telling me that the spark plug had nothing to do with a piston failing and the Piston breaking so I'm kind of confused

a piston can break a spark plug, its like a hammer smashing into it.

I spark plug can't break a piston like that, but if a spark plug brakes off, bits of it could, in theory, score the cylinder walls

however, I have never heard of a sparkplug just breaking off on its own.
