I have a 2017 C300 with runflats thus has no spare tire. Planning some road trips in the near future so I decided to get a spare. ( Not much fan of the RFT's anyways but they are still good for a year or two.) I got a rim off of a 2012 R350 that is an 18 inch rim that had a collapsible tire mounted on it. The rim fits the C300 even though I have 17 inch rims on mine. Bolt pattern what matters that is 5x112mm. So quick trip to my friends tire shop who put on a "real "used tire. 225-45-18 which is almost identical height as the 225-50-17 OE tire. It fits like the originals and l can drive regular speeds vs. 50mph with the donuts. No rubbing and has plenty of clearance of the calipers. (Of course it takes up too much room in the trunk/garage but it is a piece of mind!)
