C250 (W205) hesitating under full acceleration
Hi guys, I'm having a C250 (W205) and recently noticed that the car stalls and hesitates when I go full throttle! However, it drives completely smooth under normal driving conditions in the city and on the freeway. The stalling only happens when I press the accelerator to the fullest!
Took it to a service station and was told that the high pressure fuel pump and an oil-related component had to be replaced although they couldn't find any notable issues when they looked at those parts! Total cost around $7500!
My question is that given the car drives normally in day-to-day conditions, what could be the issue? If the fuel pump is faulty, shouldn't it cause problems regardless of how fast you accelerate? Will appreciate your thoughts
