Engine software update

I have a quick question. My car started to jerk when driving going from 1st to 2nd gear after my car sat for the night. I brought it to the dealer to be looked at. They preformed a software update on the engine. It fixed the jerking but the driving characteristics of the car are totally different now. It feels sluggish at times and when in Sport +, the exhaust no longer makes the “burp” / “crackle” noise. Can someone tell me if this is normal or if the characteristics I loved before the update will come back ?!

This was something only the 2015's had so it would make sense a software update could 'overwrite' it. Still really sucks though!

I had the same done early this year and the drive feels quite different.

It shifts much better and more responsive.
