Mercedes C350 E Sport Plus Premium Hybrid
Rear bumper conversion for C350e - Hybrid to AMG

Hello there, I’m new here so I was just wondering if anyone could help me, I’ve got a 2016 C350e that I bought salvaged from an auction. It was involved in a rear end collision so it’s in a pretty bad state.

I’ve bought a second hand bumper and it came without a diffuser/bumper spoiler so I bought an aftermarket AMG style diffuser but I’ve not been able to put it on as I understand the fittings for the hybrid bumper are completely different from the AMG style bumper.

I was wondering if anybody has any advice in getting an AMG style diffuser to fit onto it. The one way I can think of doing so is by getting an AMG style rear bumper and then DYI style cutting out the holes for the hybrid charging port and calling it a day but I’m not so sure if this would be a viable option. If anyone has any tips I’d be happy to hear them.

Thank you.
- V

The car will look ugly when you do cutting and force fitting. Why dont you buy a C350 e diffuser since you already purchased a C350e bumper. The charging sockets are quite big its not like they are bearly noticable.

I don't get it. The c350e is also optional with the amg style exterior pack so such bumpers exist

OEM AMG products only fit on AMG or AMG line cars. Apparantly his car is not AMG line that is why his thinking of cutting.

I don't either because you are 100% correct, and the build is irrelevant because all rear bumpers are interchangeable.

OP, just order the C350e AMG line bumper, shown above.

No. The only non-interchangeable parts are C63 front fenders and bumper, which are wider, otherwise, most of the non-mechanical parts are interchangeable. For example, you can put front and rear C43 bumpers on a base-model, non-AMG line, car.

Yep I guess your right only for fenders and bumpers. Other then that OEM AMG are made for AMG or AMG line cars. So the OP basically needs to buy an AMG bumper and then an AMG diffuser. I guess he already purchased an AMG diffuser except its an aftermarket nevertheless it should work. My recommendation to the OP is do whatever you want but dont cut around your charging ports the car will look ugly. Again the guys gave you a good recommendation: AMG bumper.
