Clunking noise after gearbox replacement
Hi Everyone,
My car 2017 C200 (W205) wagon had a gearbox fault, and after it got replaced, it makes a clunk noise when you accelerate from a full stop. The dealership has replaced differential and everything between gearbox and differential, and it still keeps making that noise.
Mercedes Australia representative did a test drive and said that is normal operational noise, but that noise was not there before we gearbox got replaced. Also, they do not provide me with a report of what is causing that "operational" noise and do not want to proceed on car issue investigation.
Just wondering if any of you had or have the same issue? Maybe you know where is a problem or where to look for a problem?
Thank you.

Could it be motor mounts? Made the mistake of shifting a Ford station wagon while coasting in reverse to forward ... and then we got the clunk noise as you described. The transmission shop was all too pleased to take my money to replace sheared motor mounts.
