'97 sl320, 2017 C300 base

2017 c300 extended warranty

Bought our 2017 c300 from dealer. Loaner car with 8k miles on it. Thought car had been put into service in April of 2017. Last month I tried to get an extended factory warranty on it and was told no go. Car was actually put into service in November of 2016 and warranty was expired. I need to check the paperwork for the purchase to see if they told us April 2017 or if it's just in my head. In any event, What is a good extended factory or factory type warranty?

I bought mine from carmax so purchased their warranty up to 100k. From what I usually found out buying cars, you need to purchase the warranty at the time of purchase or it's more difficult to add.
