Collision Prevention sensor

Hi all

I've had a bit of a misfortune with the Collision Prevention Assist Plus inoperative error for the past few months.
Fortunately my 2014 didn't go into limp mode with it so I lived with it (and the car not beeping at me every time somebody barely slowed down in front of me) but now would like to get this issue resolved.
I don't have the Distronic Plus function so my sensor isn't behind the star, I think I got the right part number for it (A0009058406) but not entirely sure where it's located.
Does somebody know where it might be behind the bumper before I start trying to drop it altogether?

A gaggle of MB's
Even if you replaced the Sensor yourself - that new Sensor would need to be recalibrated with Star/SDS.

That said - for this issue it's best to find a Independent Mercedes Shop - or a Dealer - that has the correct equipment. A diagnostic would either confirm the Sensor has gone out of spec - and tell whether the sensor can be recalibrated or needs replacement - and also do the fresh calibration.

Good luck !

They told me I needed a new thermostat..... This seems to be a common issue but not solid repairs. I get the same message, then car goes into limp mode.. I just made a post about this too.
