P219C P0300 P0303 P0302 Cracked Piston 1?
Greetings MBWorld,
My Mercedes is having a very jerky idle and is throwing these codes. I can tell something isn't running quite right almost like one cylinder is a little off. Any idea what is going on? The engine light comes and goes on its own and I have been driving the car with these codes for around 500 miles.
I have already replaced the spark plug in cylinder 1 and the code returned. The plug was very black and wet. The other plugs look fine and were replaced 10k miles ago.
P219C - Cylinder 1 fuel/air imbalance
P0300 - Multiple Cylinder misfire
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Wet plug plus misfire suggests incomplete or no combustion. Do you have any other diagnostic information? What does the exhaust smell like? Have you measured compression? Do you have access to a borescope? Gasoline or coolant in the oil can be found either at the filler cap, dipstick (if present) or by draining the oil.

Wet plug plus misfire suggests incomplete or no combustion. Do you have any other diagnostic information? What does the exhaust smell like? Have you measured compression? Do you have access to a borescope? Gasoline or coolant in the oil can be found either at the filler cap, dipstick (if present) or by draining the oil.
It's important to note that cylinder 1 has not received a misfire code! Only cylinders 2 and 3 have.
Cylinder one is getting the fuel/air imbalance.
The exhaust smells fine but my tailpipes are sooty.
I plan to get a compression test soon to rule out the fatal. Searching through this forum makes me think it's a cracked piston.
