Hi,

I recently bought a 2016 C350e estate which did not come with backup camera from the factory. I have access to a 2015 250CDi sedan parts car that has the original camera.

What parts do I need to cannibalize from the donor car to retrofit the camera?
What about after the parts are fitted? What sort of software magic it takes to make it all work

I have the handle with camera A2227600893 and I assume I need control module A2229000905 (attached pictures). What else?

If it is related, my car has options "AUDIO 20 RADIO NAVIGATION CAPABLE NTG5" and "ACTIVE PARK ASSIST".

I can't really be of help but if you have a good standing with your dealer you should ask the part numbers and pictures of the retrofit kit to build the reverse camera. The you have everything you could need.

 

- Camera
- Handle
- Harness (A2055402234 fits in my S205 MY2016)
- CPF (control module)
- Coding HU and RVC (camera)

Attached are wiring diagrams of handle and camera.

 

Thanks goy0. I'm going to look for the wiring harness. With the part number it looks like the harness is not super-expensive if I can not get it from the donor car.
