C300 4Matic W205 Collision Prevention Assistance Plus Inoperative
My question: Does the rear bumper cover use the little circular sensors (about the size of a nickel) for this collision prevention system?
I bought the car on a salvage title for a rear ending. The bumper cover that was added is a slightly different shade than the rest of the car so I know it was replaced. I am not sure if the original bumper utilized the sensors for this system or not. If not, that would be great because I would like to extinguish this warning and this would give me hope that I would be able to do so without replacing the entire bumper cover. Does anyone know how to get rid of the warning?
If I do indeed need a bumper cover with the sensors, then I am considering buying a new bumper cover that has the aggressive side vents on either side as well as an aggressive diffuser with the dual tips on each side. Any recommendations or guidance on what would be compatible with this car?
