Will transmission oil change offer smoother shifting?

Will an automatic transmission oil and filter change offer smoother shifting? The maintenance booklet states to replace transmission fluid and filter at 6 years or 60,000 miles.
I understand that the vehicle has an adaptive transmission. After I reset the adaptive shifting points in the TCU, it will be smooth shifting for a while but will begin noticeable and somewhat rough shifts again. I am not an aggressive driver and drive mostly in Comfort or Economy modes.
Any help will be appreciated.

Everytime I change out the engine oil, car feels more responsive. Maybe because less drag on pistons and other internal components. Also, I do reset the transmission regularly but haven't done one since xmas. If you get that clunky feeling, it's probably the transmission holding onto higher rpm and need to reset it.
As for your trans oil, if you have spare $500 or can diy, go for it but I would follow the recommended service interval.
