Rattle/Clinking During Hard Acceleration While In Motion

Hey guys,
I have a 2015 C300 4MATIC with the Luxury package. Manufacture dated 08/2014 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama (US).

While I do not accelerate aggressively often, when I do there is a loud high pitched clinking and rattle from the engine bay. It sounds like tinking an empty soda can, and is quite audible.
This happens while I am already in motion, doesn’t seem to make a difference what speed I am already driving at. I have never “launched” the car from a complete standstill, so I’m not sure if it happens then or not and I would rather not see if it does.

It only makes this noise for 2-3 seconds when I first press down hard on the throttle, especially when I truly go almost full throttle. Once again I do not do this often but it is still concerning.

After the initial few seconds of acceleration the clinking goes away and does not come back, even if I slow down my speed and accelerate hard again.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue and maybe has an answer or some insight of any potential issues to deal with?
Unfortunately I don’t have any video or audio clips of this right now, but if someone would like me to take one I can later today.

I’d really appreciate any insight you guys have, thanks!

Old thread I know but I have had a very similar issue recently. We have had the car to three different shops. Only one heard it once and couldn't reproduce it. I drove it with a mechanic in the car, he heard it but couldn't reproduce it. The third shop did most of the technical testing and was not able to reproduce it or find anything untoward in the operation of the car. The testing that we have had done has eliminated the following: Coil crapping out under load, injector crapping out underload, vaccuum leak. There is no codes or any other indication of anything happening other than the sounds you describe intermittently occurring. Suggestions we have heard included: Bad fuel (water?)so we ran two tanks of known good fuel through it and it did not change (eliminated), transmission sticking in a higher gear than it should (cannot reproduce, eliminated)), sticky exhaust valve (eliminated), starving fuel (could not reproduce). The last things on the list is a turbo issue ?? Three shops and all are befuddled. Yes, befuddled is a word!
