Rebuilt or Used Steering Rack wanted for 2016 C300 4matic with electric power assist
On my 2016 Mercedes Benz C300 4matic, with electric power assist, the STEERING RACK went bad while backing up at low speeds. It sounded like something broke in half. I know there are 2 recalls for steering issues but my VIN # is not a part of them. I have 60,022 miles on my vehicle and am now looking to find out if anyone REBUILDS the Steering Rack or has a USED one or REBUILT one in good condition I can buy. I am in the Washington County Maryland area about an hour from Washington DC. My Thank you.

I think it should be covered under warranty, if not, would be best to look for a rear end crashed car or order a new one which will not be cheap at all.

My vehicle is 5 months out of warranty and 10,100 miles out of warranty.
I don't know where to search for a rear end crashed car.
Battling cancer, and raising 2 grandchildren 15 & 11, has taken quite the financial toll I looked into new ones and man they are E X P E N S I V E,
If you know of a place I would sure appreciate knowing about it.
