Auxillary battery malfunction
Hello, I got the auxillary battery malfunction message and I changed the part, which made the message go away, but the start/stop stopped working and and the logo does not show up on the dashboard.
The button on the center console lights up green.
I ordered three auxillary batterys from amazon ( not original) and that did not solve the issue.
I went to the mercedes dealer and was about to purchase the original, but the sales person told me that since the error has gone, that means the issue has been solved and buying an original would not make the start/stop function .
I reset the mercedes w205, disconnected the battery and tried every possible thing, yet the start stop would not function.
Any help would be appreciated.

Mercedes should have connected your car to the Star system to see if the Start/Stop was enabled after the module was installed. It could be that the start/stop needs to charge up however it must charge up to the AMP/Volts the PCM is looking for.

If your battery is below 80%, auto stop/start will not activate.
Goto any auto parts store and have your battery tested. They usually does it for free if you bring it to their bench. Some test it while in car.
If you haven't changed your battery since bought new, this might be a cheap solution.
