C220 Bluetec
Bluetooth media

Hello,

I just got the C220 bluetec a few days ago used. I cannot get the Bluetooth media to work. The phone works fine but no media. The phone is connected and when playing is just silence. On the phone it says its connected but nothing from car speakers. Have tried restarting phone and resetting the media in the car and nothing seems to work. Tried with 3 different phones.

I think this is a common issue but I cannot find the solution. Please can anyone help?

I don't know what phone you have but on Android you need to turn up the Media volume on the phone in order to hear anything over the bluetooth.

Hello thanks for responding. My phone is an Sony Xperia zx compact. It's old. It's not related to volume because the car doesn't indicate that it is playing anything. I have tried the volume. I tried it with another much newer android phone and it was the same. The good news is that it it has connected with an I phone. It would be nice to find out what is causing this and how to fix it. I am 99% sure I have used a Sony mobile phone in the past in the c300h which I had at the time with the same media system. (Or appears to be the same).
