Hi everyone,
I've been researching a lot.. still can't find the right conclusion; please help me out
I just got a really good deal on like-new AMG wheels from w177, the AMG wheel size is 18 x 7.5j ET49 for all four, no tyres [AMG wheel spec]
I'm planning to replace them with my standard wheels on W205 (C200d FL) Front: 18 x 7.5j ET44/ Rear: 18 x 8.5j ET56 [standard wheel spec]
the standard tyres on my w205: Front: 225/45/R18 and Rear: 245/40/R18
The offset different is quite small (5 - 7mm), but if I were to replace the new wheels on my w205, which tyre size I should buy?
Option 1: keep original sizes from w205, but I concern about rear tyre. 245/40 is not really recommended to be fitted on 7.5j rim?
Option 2: get the same size with w177 (225/45/R18) for all four, then I might lose the staggered advantage on the wider rear wheel? is it really serious for C220d (196hp)?
Option 3: just replace the rear wheel (245/40) with 235/40 or 235/45 in order to keep a little staggered benefit, but the speed might inaccurate (around 1.3%)?
Please to get the Pilot Sport 4 tyres, anyone please share some idea to help me out

I don't think you should have any problems with the 18s. Also, I would check the forum as their is a full writeup on tire and rims for the W205
