How to access power from the rear view mirror for dash cam?

Hi,

Is there any way to access power from the rear view mirror? It would be great to power the dash cam next to it.

There is ACC power from rear view mirror like you wanted. But how are you planning to hook up 5v usb from dashcam to your car's 12v?

Are you planning to disassemble cig port USB adapter and splice into the 2 mirror wires? I have done this but adapter died along with power to the dashcam. Better to use 5v to 12v hardwiring kit but that defeats the whole propose of hooking it up to ACC not CONSTANT.

Anyway, my car is currently hook up using both ACC and CONST power from driver side fuse panel using proper fuses along with it. If you are set on the mirror, make sure to install a fuse.
