CarPlay/Google Maps: no more voice recognition?

CarPlay/Google Maps: no more voice recognition?
Hi there,

since the last update I can't use the Google Maps voice assistant - the app icon is gone (see picture attached). Anyone else with this problem, how can I fix it?

Resetting phone/Comand, re-installing Google Maps and giving permission to use the microphone didn't help. Voice control works in the iPhone App.
