Driver’s assistance package

Hello, has anyone used the lane change assist? It’s pretty cool. Hit the flashers and the car will move the steering wheel in that direction.

Hey @Elvisfan0108, are you finding the feature to work pretty consistently? I picked up my ‘21 yesterday and had a 100mi + drive home from the dealership on an open stretch of highway. I tried to get my car to change lanes several times while active distronic was engaged, but no success despite there being no nearby cars. I’ve read that some systems have a short “teaching” period so perhaps that explains it, but curious how your experience has been? Hope you’re enjoying the car!

If you read the owner’s manual, there is a learning period. Don’t know how long that period is. The other thing the owner’s manual says is that you should try not to drive at a constant speed for 1,000 miles. Therefore I only used it sparingly at first. Wait awhile.
Otherwise, it has worked fine.

Thanks @Elvisfan0108 ! Now that I’m home I probably won’t need to do much highway driving for a bit, but look forwarding testing things out once the car is more broken in. The system works okay in the S Class, but was curious to see the technology executed in a newer C Class. Hard to compare the two… Replaced my 2018 C Class with this ‘21 and definitely find the facelift to be a vast improvement overall.
