Need some help w205 c300 brake pad replace option
So I’m trying to change my rear brake pads. But my issues is I can’t get the workshop menu open. It’s take multiple try’s and finessing to get it but once I do. I click on brake pad replace and nothing happens I click it multiple times using the ok button and the brakes do not retract. It just keep going back to the brake pad replace menu Options…. Any idea guys ??? really trying to avoid the 500 bucks price Mercedes is charging.

I struggled with it too but I forget to release the parkbrake before entering the service menu.

I had this same problem when I tried to do mine the first time. It turned out that I had my door open so I couldn't retract the caliper. This turned out to be an expensive mistake. I took the caliper off anyway and the piston pushed all the way out, they do not compress back in with a brake pad compression tool. I called a Mercedes mechanic and he told me the only way to fix that is to replace the whole caliper, so I went $300 in the hole learning the hard way. Shut the driver's door and all other doors and try the workshop menu again. I had to try several times for it to work.
