I’ trying to replace the door speakers, and it’s not clear how to remove the tweeter. It looks like it might rotate a little and then maybe pull out but I can’t seem to figure it out.
Yes, I can only find the W205 sedans. Those have the tweeters in a separate housing and it looks like it just pops out. On the coupe, it looks like it needs to rotate but it won’t, it’s hard to see what’s keeping it.
I got them out. They're probably not usable anymore, but they came out. For future reference for others with a coupe, they do twist or rotate to come out. You have to find a way to pry a tab back (which is very hard to see), and then you can rotate it clockwise maybe 20-30 degrees and then it can be popped out. It's quite secure but sucks to remove!
